About
Takhrij is a free public website. You paste a saying that reached you as “the Prophet ﷺ said…”, and the site shows where the saying is written: the book and number, the Arabic text, the graders’ words with each grader’s name where our data has them, and the chain of narrators.
Takhrij never says in its own voice that a saying is authentic or fabricated. That judgement belongs to hadith scholars. When we find nothing, we say so, and we ask you to consult a scholar you trust before you share the saying.
The name comes from takhrīj (تخريج), the classical discipline of tracing a hadith to its sources.

What the site does not do
No ads, no accounts, no tracking. The site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other websites.
Takhrij never asks for money, a login or a phone number. Anyone who asks you for these is not Takhrij.
Takhrij has no official accounts on social media or messaging apps yet. When it has, they will be listed here; any other account that uses the name is not ours.
